Stop Gum Problems Early With Trusted Care
Healthy gums are the foundation of a strong smile. If gum disease isn't treated, it can lead to tooth loss and even affect your overall health. At Progressive Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, we take gum care seriously and offer gentle treatments to help protect your smile. We know that each person is different, so we take the time to find the right care for you.
If you notice red, swollen, or bleeding gums, it may be a sign of gum disease. The good news is that we can often treat it with simple, nonsurgical methods.
We start with a deep cleaning called scaling and root planing. This removes harmful plaque and bacteria from above and below the gums. We also smooth out the root surfaces of your teeth. This helps your gums reattach and keeps bacteria from collecting in those areas again.
In some cases, we may use a dental laser to gently remove infected tissue. This method is more comfortable than traditional tools and helps your gums heal faster with less swelling.
After your initial treatment, we help you keep your mouth healthy with regular checkups and cleanings that focus on keeping gum disease from returning. Our team will talk with you about the best ways to care for your gums at home, including brushing and flossing tips, and answer any questions you may have along the way. We're here to support you at every step so you can feel confident about your oral health.
We also provide other services to support your long-term health, including:
Periodontal checkups and maintenance cleanings to track gum health and catch problems early
Dental implants to replace missing teeth and restore chewing strength and appearance
Gum or bone grafts if extra support is needed to protect your teeth or prepare for implants
With the right care, it's possible to keep your natural teeth for life. Call us today at 925-966-1686 (San Ramon) or 209-231-2851 (Turlock) to schedule your appointment. You can also request a visit online. We're here to help you smile with confidence.
